WELCOME TO AVADDON MMA
Avaddon Mixed Martial Arts incorporates a mixture of Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jujitsu and Submission Wrestling. The sessions include technical instruction from expert coaches to create a well rounded and complete fighter. Avaddon MMA is also ideal for those who want to get fitter or simply want to lose weight.
We have a new junior session which opened on 12th November 2009. The club already boasts two successful senior sessions per week and the new junior session is held on Thursday nights, 7pm till 8pm at the Hudson Leisure Centre, Wisbech.
Avaddon MMA Gym are currently seeking out a new full-time premises to hold both it's junior and senior sessions so... watch this space!

John 'the one' Maguire signed for UFC
It was great to have John (The One) Maguire down last Thursday night training with the Avaddon lads. John is currently training for his second fight with the largest MMA organisation in the world (The UFC). John will be fighting DeMarques Johnson on the 14th April on the Sweden card. All of us at Avaddon MMA would like to wish John the best of luck in his upcoming fight and any bouts.
Also best of luck to Dominik, Mark, Luie and Jamie all fighting in Norwich on 10th March.
Avaddon MMA Insurance and Enrolment
It is recommended that every member of Avaddon MMA gets insurance in order to train on the weekly sessions. The fee will be £20.00 for adults and £15.00 for under 16s. This will cover you for the year and protect you against injury inflicted to you or by you to another member. You will receive a membership card and number that will correspond with the club's insurance.

Avaddon MMA would like to congratulate John The One Maguire on his impressive win on the weekend at UFC 138. John won his debut against American, Justin Edwards, in a unaminious decision. It was great for John to pop down on Monday night, only days after his win and Team Avaddon wish John all the best for his future UFC bouts.
Jordan strikes GOLD aT THe Cresset - Peterborough
Jordan Read of Avaddon Mixed Martial Arts club based at the Hudson Sports Centre in Wisbech, competed in a mma bout held at The Cresset in Peterborough on sat night. Jordan was up against the more experienced Chris Sharpe from spiritual warrior gym (Peterborough)
Jordan started strongly dominating from the start and landing some good body punches up against the fence. Jordan won all three rounds and very nearly submitted his opponent on a few occasions. Jordan took a unanimous decision and a well deserved win at a catch weight of 90kg.
Ex Avaddon member Daumantas (pictured left with Ben Rothwell) has moved out to the states and we at Avaddon wish him all the best for the future.

EAST Coast Fight FacTory EVent AUGUST 2011
Four members of the club took part in East Coast Fight Factory's event held in Norwich. First on was Tom White, who was dominating the bout until getting caught with a submission choke only One minute from the final bell. Second on was Lutero Mariano who was fighting in his debut bout. Lutero took control of the action from the start with a takedown and strikes from top position. He continued to be aggressive throughout and took a unaminous decision win.

Krisjanis Loginovs was also debuting and up against the more experienced Jamie Brady from PITBOXE MMA based in Kings Lynn. Krisjanis was on the receiving end of huge takedown but soon started to take charge of the fight thereafter, finishing with an impressive decision win. Last on was Mark Durrington, who was up against hot prospect Jack Mezzetti (Fighting Fit Martial Arts) Cromer. Mark showed as always that he belongs in there but possible was fighting in the wrong weight class and got caught by the explosive Mezzetti by a triangle choke from top position.

All junior members will have the opportunity to compete and there will be a grading system in place.
All children from the aged 9-16 are welcome.
Sessions will be £3 with the first session free.
Members are required to wear comfortable clothing such as shorts and t shirt.
